So I love it.īarker: For me everything on the album still holds true and it's interesting and exciting to this day. I look back to the rehearsal spot in San Diego we wrote this record in and everybody came in every single day with just throwing ideas out, "What about this? What about this?" And it was everybody's best work at the same time. And it felt like everybody was really firing. Jerry Finn being our producer really helped us focus and try and write great songs instead of just trying to write fast songs. I feel like Enema Of The State was really when Blink found its legs and found our sound with the addition of Travis. Going back and replaying all these songs and relearning these songs I still feel like they're a statement as relevant today as it was back then.

I still struggle with dark times and that song is a statement about that. Hoppus: "Adam's Song" still resonates a lot with me. Whenever we play that song I always thank my lucky stars that I get paid to be a kid and have fun. Matt Skiba: "What's My Age Again," as a fan and a band member. Talk about the songs that still hold up best for you in terms of relevance in your life and you are excited to revisit. But this time especially with it being 20 years of Enema Of The State I think it's gonna be a good summer.īaltin: Whenever you revisit an album from 20 years ago you have gone through so many personal changes. And lucky for us I've always loved touring and Travis has loved touring and Matt loves touring. And I agree with you, if a band is not having fun then the crowd is definitely not having fun. Mark Hoppus: Yeah, it's gonna be different.

And I think that combined with us playing Enema is just exciting. So we took out Cypress and No Doubt and we were like, "This tour is fun." It's just fun, it's different. We had played with a lot of like-minded bands all the time on tour.

Travis Barker: Kind of the like the Cypress tour years ago. The most important thing for a great show is that the band has fun. Steve Baltin: I am sure going out with Lil Wayne keeps things fresh and fun for you.
